Yvonne McLean is an Executive Coach with a wealth of experience of working within the Corporate Environment. Yvonne has worked with people of all ages and backgrounds, ranging from Senior Executives to junior staff.
Yvonne graduated with a B A Hons degree in Modern Languages from Oxford University. She then qualified as a lawyer and worked in law firms and in commerce for over 20 years as a lawyer.
She has worked as a senior Intellectual Property Litigation solicitor at Russell McVeagh and Chapman Tripp in New Zealand and at Linklaters and Richards Butler in the City of London.
She was the lead lawyer for Microsoft Limited in the UK and a member of its Executive Management team for seven and a half years before her family decided to return to New Zealand in late 2003.
Since returning to New Zealand, Yvonne has decided to make a career change to enable her to build on her interest in developing people and create more balanced time for herself and her family commitments.
Yvonne is fully committed to ensuring that she can deliver a professional coaching service to her clients. She has trained with the world’s leading coach training provider, Coach U, and is on the way to obtaining credentialing from the coaching professional body, The International Coach Federation. Yvonne subscribes to the ICF’s Code of Ethics.
Yvonne is a Certified NLP Practitioner and a certified Professional Behaviour Analyst, using the DISC tool. She is also fully trained to deliver and coach within the Syzergy ‘Dare to Care’ Programme.
Yvonne enjoys facing challenges and knows what it takes to step out of her comfort zone: she is very adaptable and happy to embrace change.
Yvonne has a relaxed and empathetic coaching style. She is also not afraid to challenge her clients whenever necessary. Her objective as a coach is to grow the individual she is coaching and to focus on helping each person achieve their successful outcomes.
