Your role as a personal or executive assistant is a specialised one, requiring sound judgement, discretion and the ability to work closely with immediate line managers.
Use this two day course to explore the key attributes of the outstanding personal assistant. Practical tasks and case studies will teach you the basics of good report writing, how to create your personal professional development plan, as well as effective time management.
Course outline This course will cover:
Day One
the State of the Profession identify the skills required to enhance your contribution to the management team in this constantly evolving role working with Your Manager and other Team Members understanding your Manager's behavioural style to allow better communication improving your relationship with your Manager how to influence your Manager, multiple managers and the team solve conflict effectively effective use of systems to manage work between you and your manager eg diaries, e-mails communication recognise what business writing will get you noticed confidently get your message across when working with the management team use effective negotiating skills to obtain what you need self Management how to manage your time more effectively and reduce stress.
Day Two
problem solving and decision making be able to make good decisions assess and solve problems using well known models project management a brief overview of proven techniques to effectively plan and organise a project drawing up your own personal development plan identifying further training for your role.

use critical communication techniques to maximise efficiency manage diaries, information and records identify effective techniques for problem solving and decision making identify good time management techniques excel in report writing.
