Team Leader - Building Effective Teams is a course designed to provide information and skills for those who have an impact on leading a team. It also has significant bearing on improving on-the-job performance. It is a highly practical blended learning programme that enables you to explore your future management style and pick up a range of tips and skills to help you start your career as a new or emerging manager.
This team leadership course is also one of three modules of the National Certificate in Business (FLM) - Level 4. If you decided, you can complete this programme and then an assessment to start you on your professional development journey to formal and professional academic recognition.
Learning Outcomes

Charlie Dalton
Charlie Dalton Charlie has always been interested in training and development and qualified as a teacher of young adults in schools and colleges before moving into corporate training. In 1997 armed with an honours degree in economics, qualifications in teaching and accountancy and a MBA Charlie joined BPP plc as a trainer.
In 2001 he incorporated BPP in Nottingham, UK. He ran the business successfully until leaving to become an independent trainer in 2004. Charlie has facilitated courses for many organisations in New Zealand, Australia, Malaysia, Africa and Europe.
Charlie’s diverse qualifications and experience allow him to deliver a wide range of courses in Business, Management and Finance. He facilitates both technical and skills based courses. Charlie has trained at all levels within organisations from new apprentices to board level.
His presentations reflect his own practical experience in running a business, together with an in depth knowledge of the subject matter and communication skills built up through years of experience in a training and education environment.
Charlie is passionate about training and aims to make it fun, relevant and to provide great examples from real life situations.

Mark Greaney
Mark Greaney Mark works as a trainer and coach for a range of clients including corporate, utility & government organisations. He delivers management development programmes, time management, customer services and sales courses across New Zealand.
With a background in teaching, recruitment, people management, sales and training; Mark is able to provide good knowledge of a range of roles in the business arena having explored many areas in his own career to date. Mark established his own company in 2008 and is passionate about developing the best in people.

Tony Brindle
Tony Brindle As a management-training consultant Tony has over thirty years of international experience working with clients in a variety of commercial, industrial and government organisations. This has included financial services, engineering, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, retail, manufacturing and partnerships with several leading business schools across Europe (I.M.D, INSEAD).
Over the last fourteen years, from a base in Wellington, Tony has developed relationships with senior teams from across the business sectors applying a range of tools and techniques, combined with high level facilitation skills, to achieve the results demanded by each organisation.
The tools used include Coaching Skills, Lominger Leadership and Team Architect Suite, Outdoor Management Development (OMD), MBTI®, Strength Deployment Inventory (SDI), Tetramap, Team Management Index and Profile (TMP) and 360 degree feedback using Lominger Voices Report and Team Management Services (TMS).
