Overview: Organising events in a work environment - is it a conference, product launch, staff function or team event? This course provides the skills to ensure you organise a successful, creative and memorable event.
Who Should Attend: This course is for you if you are asked to oversee, manage or participate in the organisation of an event, whether you are an administrator, manager, community worker or volunteer.

Research --Planning, Coordination and design --Compiling terms of reference for the event --Working with project team members --Obtaining sponsorship --Selecting an appropriate venue --Using a professional conference organiser or event management company --Effective budgeting --Compiling timelines and action plans --The role of the conference facilitator/chairperson/MC --Identifying risks and factoring in contingencies --Programme design
Implementation --Using run sheets --Compiling contact lists
Evaluation --Setting criteria for evaluation of the activity --Evaluation questionnaire design --Writing up the final report for the organising committee
Course Format: This is an interactive workshop with a maximum of 16 participants. The presenter uses a combination of presentation and group activities, including a practical exercise in organising an event. You will receive a workbook to take away.
