During two full days we will introduce you to the knowledge and skills required for the effective management of projects.

The course covers the strategic planning required to define, monitor and evaluate your project. You will learn to identify your objectives, schedule tasks, estimate the resources required and also how to run those key meetings.

You will leave the course with the ability and confidence to plan and execute professional and successful projects.

Course outline
This course will cover:

building the foundation on well-proven and developed knowledge
the ten disciplines that make up the project management methodology
how one subject quickly breaks into ten disciplines that all need exploring
the stages of a project life cycle
exploring the major stages of all projects and in what order certain activities should be undertaken
the skills and attributes of a project manager
how to qualify as a professional.project manager

Trevor's career in project management started with refitting ships and programming events in the defence and transport industries. Over a decade ago he moved into the world of consultancy delivering project management skills and quality management ISO management systems models. He has co-developed and delivered internationally approved training courses and he has been audited for his knowledge and ability by professional bodies from the UK and the USA. In NZ he has worked with institutions such as The University of Auckland, Manukau Institute of Technology, The Institute of Management, The New Zealand Organisation for Quality.
