Overview:
This workshop will allow attendees to understand the objective and concepts of health and safety auditing and gain working knowledge of generally accepted auditing procedures and of techniques and skills needed to apply them in audit.
Learning Outcomes:
Attending this workshop will give the tools and knowledge to:
* gain working knowledge of generally accepted auditing procedure and techniques and skills needed to apply them in audit
*Gain an understanding of key New Zealand health and safety management standards
*Understand components of a health and safety system
*Check the status of workplace health and safety systems
*Conduct self-assessments that will meet ACC health and safety audit standards – discounts in ACC levies range from 10-20% for employers who meet with standard
*Document and report results of audit findings
*Implement improvement strategies to make company health and safety systems more effective

Members of health and safety committees; anyone involved in maintaining health and safety systems and those companies looking to enter into the ACC health and safety discount programmes.
