You will gain an insight into the patrons and artists who helped define the Renaissance. Giotto’s proto-Renaissance works in the Arena Chapel, Donatello’s bronzes at Padua, the creation of a specific image for a female consort in Mantua, the idiosyncratic court at Ferrara, Palladio’s grand villas and Leonardo da Vinci’s works in Milano are all examined.
