Fundamental to this assumption is: * Leaders are responsible for developing their people. * Developing people requires understanding their learning needs and providing people with what they need when they need it. * Leadership is most effective when it is a partnership - a working relationship where both parties have input. * The key outcomes of effective leadership are both high levels of perfomance and high levels of employee engagement.
Participants of this programme will be at all levels of leadership within an organisation. The emphasis is on learning by doing and the programme allows you to design your skills around everyday situations before using these skills back on the job. . The main features of this programme include:
* understanding the factors that truly engage your staff * Understanding your own personal and working styles * Practicing effective communication including listening and questioning practice. * Understanding the link between motivaton and behaviour. * Understanding the Star Development Model, the stages of leaning and how to apply the appropriate leadership behaviour. * Understanding conflict behavioural modes and conflict resolution. * The importance of appropriate feedback to foster employee development. * The importance of building trust in relationship with your employees. * Ways to engage your team members. * Coaching your employees to encourage maximum effectiveness.
At the completion of each workshop participants will create a Workshop Project to assist them implement the learnings from the Leadership Programme into their workplace.
Follow-up one-on-one leadership coaching is supplied where required.

Brian's early work experience started off in the areas of business and computers. In 1986 Brian's life and career took a major turn and since then he has gained many years of experience in the training and development arena, including the facilitation of personal development programs, one-on-one counseling services as well as being the founder and CEO of two personal development organizations in New Zealand. More recently Brian has spent 10 years as a director of a major internatioal training organisation working with a number of leading NZ and international organisations and delivering programmes in the areas of leadership, self leadership, teamwork and organisational development.
During 2006 Brian resigned from this company, took sabbatical leave and in 2007 returned to professional training, contracting with two major NZ organisations to develop and deliver in-house leadership programmes and also to provide on-going coaching/mentoring for their management.
Brian is a powerful and effective group facilitator whose purpose is to help people find out what truly motivates them and how they can best contribute in their workplace. As a result they develop the ability to live their lives more powerfully and intentionally, experiencing greater fulfillment in relationships and enjoyment of their chosen work in life. .
