The IMPACT train the trainer course runs over 5 days. Days 1 to 4 are continuous. Day 5 is held a week later. This is an intensive practical session where each participant has planned and will deliver a 30-minute training session on their chosen topic. Constructive feedback is given on planning and delivery techniques.

By the end of this course participants will be able to:

- Describe key adult learning principles and their implication on planning and delivery
- Design specific measurable performance objectives for a session
- Plan activities that will check learning during and at the end of a training session
- Consider different learning styles in the planning and delivery stages.
- Design sessions using the 4Mat Model and session plan template
- Demonstrate effective introductions that set the scene and arouse interest
- Build and maintain rapport with adult learners
- Explore interactive learning and training strategies

Allan Skinner is the Principal Consultant for Leading Edge Training Solutions. Allan has many years hands-on Human Resources and Management experience in a variety of industries. He has also lectured and run courses for the Auckland University of Technology and the Auckland College of Education.
