Use this one-day course to gain an understanding of key accounting terminology and arm yourself with practical tools that can be readily applied. In just one day you will be able to understand, analyse and confidently discuss your financial situation with your own manager, accountant or finance department.

This course will cover:
introduction to the accounting process as a means of gathering data that can help managers to make sound decisions
understanding the business operating cycle and working capital
introduction to the Financial Statements - the Balance Sheet, the Profit and Loss Statement and the Cash Flow Statement
introduction to common management accounting tools for decision making
the classification and use of costs as the basis of decision making
introduction to 'Cost-Volume-Profit' analysis (often called 'Break-even' analysis) as a powerful tool
understanding the importance of marginal costing and how to apply it as a decision-making tool
an introduction to budgeting for a business.
