This course fills gaps in your Excel knowledge. It will look at helpful tools when working with large spreadsheets, data validation, conditional formatting, styles, and advanced formulas including lookup tables.
Come along with your questions and learn tips and tricks for working with Excel more efficiently.
Please note - we are now using Office 2007 software and Windows XP for training purposes.
Who Should Attend: This course is suitable for people who are using Excel but want to know more. This course assumes basic knowledge of Excel such as inputting information, formatting, cell referencing, filtering, sorting, an understanding of functions and the ability to create simple formulas. See Prerequisite Skills below.

Course Format: This is a hands-on workshop in our computer training suite, the tutor will demonstrate various tasks and you will have chance to practise these tasks and ask relevant questions. You will receive course materials to take away. There will be a maximum of 12 participants.
Prerequisite Skills: Participants should meet the following requirements: * Able to create, rename and delete worksheets. * Able to insert and delete columns and rows. * Able to hide and unhide columns and rows. * Able to sort or filter data. * Familiar with number formatting. * Able to construct simple formulas, such as adding the values in two cells together. * Understand the concept of functions. * Understand how to construct a reference to a range of cells, an individual column or row, and a range of columns or rows. * Familiar with both absolute and relative referencing. * Familiar with using absolute cell referencing when using the fill tool to replicate formulas.
