Overview: What are we doing about climate change? Join experts in physics, economics and public policy in this intensive summer course and explore climate science, economic responses, and international policy negotiations going on now in response to the world’s changing climate. This course provides an overview of climate science and economics and aspects of international negotiations relevant for climate policy.
Target audience: The course is suitable for graduate students and/or policy analysts, CRI, city and regional council employees, and people in the private sector working on environmental issues.
Learning objectives: By the end of this course, students will understand: •key decision-relevant aspects of climate science and environmental economics, •the history, theory and prospects of landmark efforts to govern climate change, domestically and internationally.
Course format: Face-to-face classes include a range of lectures, tutorial sessions and discussions, supported by an extensive reading list that will be available for course preparation in December.
